St. Louis Aunts & Uncles Take 1

St. Louis Cousins Take 1

William has 15 St. Louis cousins with one on the way. It was fun to see how different ones interacted with him. Stan and Michael really seemed to dote on him and always want to touch him. Of course Hannah wanted to hold him all the time too and would ask in her sweet, shy way. I wish we lived close so she could come spend the day with me and be a little mama to William.
As you can see though, almost all of them wanted to love on their new little cousin.

St. Louis Grandparents

We keep hoping William has inheritated just a portion of the Dickmann size gene. So far no evidence of such.

We are so thankful that the Lord has allowed my Grandma Lehr to see William. It means so much to me to know that she was able to see how the Lord answered her prayers that I would be married and have children. My Grandma Dickmann did not live to see the Lord answer her prayers for this. She died a little more than a year before I was married. It makes me sad sometimes because I know she would have been so very happy for me and she would have liked Russ so much. I have a picture of my two Grandmas on my frig. and when I'm cooking I often think of how their lives are impacting generations.

It was fun to see Ernie play ball, especially in a Browns' uniform. The Browns were my Grandpa Dickmann's favorite team. Ernie pitched two great innings!

Back from St. Louis

Well we've been back from St. Louis now for about 3 weeks but I'm just now getting some things posted. Sorry about that. William did wonderfully on all the plane rides. Thankfully Russ flew with us on the way back because it wound up taking us about 12 hours to get home. We arrived at the airport at 10:30 a.m. for a 12:30 p.m. flight that did not leave St. Louis airport until 3:30 p.m. We finally got into the Raleigh airport only to sit on the tarmack for over an hour due to lightning. The ground crew wont come out to direct the plane into the gate in a lightning storm. We pulled into our driveway at about 10 p.m. that night. Hope you've enjoyed the pictures.
