The Ayscue family was all together for Mothers' Day this year. We ate Sunday lunch at Denise and Kerry's house. It was the first time Randy and Nancy had seen William and the first time Russ and I had seen Nick, Christiana's baby. Nick and William were born on the same day. It was a fun time and we thank the Lord for our mothers.
At first glance you may think this was a Cardinals game but you would be wrong. It's a Mudcats game. The Mudcats are the AA team we have here in eastern NC. It was William's first game and it was marked by several memorable happenings. First, we won a drawing and got the grandprize. Russ is wearing it in one of the pictures. It's a mudcat hat. Then Jacob and Becky went down by the foul line and one of the players threw Jacob a foul ball! All and all it was a really fun time with great weather, it actually turned cool enough to wear jackets when the sun went down, good friends, we went with some of the folks from the Reformed Baptist Church, and well behaved kids. Yeah!! :)
Before William came into our lives BJ was Russ's pride and joy. He is a very special dog. You can talk to him and he actually understands. For these pictures all I had to do was call him over and tell him to stand and stay and he did it. I took lots of pictures and he stayed put for all of them. We're looking forward to the day we can watch William and BJ interact. Russ already takes William out to see the dogs and lets them lick him and when we have William outside and he is crying BJ perks up his hears and turns his head as if to say, "What is that little squeaker squeaking about now?"
Becky, Jacob and Stan came to visit us this week. It was wonderful having my sister here. She has been a true blessing, helping cook, clean and do the laundry. But mostly its just been fun laughing and talking and enjoying being wives and mothers together.
Stan loves William. He always wants to sit by him, pat his head and give him kisses.
As this is my first post, it will be short...Actually, most likely all my posts will be short. Here are some pictures of our sweet, little boy. At least we think he's sweet, when he's not crying that is. No change that, even when he is crying we think he's sweet. We better since he mostly cries.
